It would be awesome to add all the songs ever mentioning NYC and not make a mess out of the map. It is cool to visit famous places and make meaningful maps out of them. I guess it's not that unusual that people get this special syndromes visting important places for them. But like with everything else it is wise not to make too much fuzz about it.

This is educational, seeing how animals actually live in the wild. A wonderful interactive exhibition Lightanimal made in Japan!

Poletni raziskovalni tabori: delfini v slovenskem morju

Morigenos - društvo za raziskovanje in zaščito morskih sesalcev že od leta 2003 izvaja vsakoletne 10-dnevne poletne raziskovalne tabore, kjer se lahko vsakdo neposredno sreča z raziskovanjem in varstvom delfinov ter morskih želv. Tabori potekajo na slovenski obali. Letošnji raziskovalni tabori bodo potekali že 10. leto.

Gre za dolgoročni program raziskovanja, monitoringa in varstva velike pliskavke (Tursiops truncatus) v slovenskih in okoliških vodah. Raziskovalne aktivnosti so namenjene pridobivanju znanstvene osnove za učinkovito varstvo delfinov in njihovega okolja, preko monitoringa trendov v populaciji in identifikacije glavnih negativnih dejavnikov, ki vplivajo na te živali. V času raziskovalnih taborov bomo spremljali prisotnost delfinov na raziskovalnem območju in zbirali podatke o njihovem gibanju, vedenju, interakcijah z ribištvom in foto-identifikaciji. Vsakodneva opazovanja potekajo na plovilih in s kopenskih opazovalnih točk. Poleg preučevanja delfinov se projekt osredotoča tudi na morske želve glavate karete (Caretta caretta).

Raziskovalni tabor udeležencem omogoča, da izkusijo vsakodnevno življenje raziskovalca delfinov, obenem pa skozi praktično delo in predavanja pridobijo splošno znanje o raziskovanju morskih sesalcev, morski biologiji in varstvu narave. Za vso potrebno usposabljanje je poskrbljeno. Do konca tabora bodo udeleženci:

- imeli boljše razumevanje problematike varstva morskih sesalcev in morskih želv;

- imeli pregled različnih metod za raziskovanje morskih sesalcev v naravi;

- pridobili praktične izkušnje ter izkusili zadovoljstvo in frustracije raziskovanja morskih sesalcev.

Za spanje in hrano je poskrbljeno v okviru tabora.
